Ardingly Success Despite the Snow
Despite the snowy weather and freezing temperatures the IACF Ardingly fair went ahead thanks to the fantastic efforts of showground and IACF staff. Roads were cleared of snow and gritted to allow safe passage. Visitor numbers on the Tuesday passed expectations and a lot of successful business was conducted.

THE Antiques are Green campaign, launched by Beaconsfield dealer Nigel Worboys earlier this year, is gaining momentum. Now we want as many people to back it as possible.

Free self-adhesive Antiques are Green logos designed for windows, doors and cabinets were given out with ATG’s printed newspaper (issue no. 1910). These have been jointly sponsored by Antiques are Green Ltd, a not-for-profit company, and ATG.

These are just a few of the positive comments we received from customers at the fair on 8th and 9th October. The numbers of both dealers and buyers far exceeded our expectations and many people told us that there was a ‘buzz’ about the fair that they had not experienced for a long time. An increase in the number of American and European buyers did much to increase sales and we saw many dealers return to the fair who have not exhibited for several years.
